Sponsorship Coordinator

 Job Description        

Responsible for obtaining $100k in annual sponsorship support through the following: Small and large dollar sponsorships for each large event (HOPE Telethon, Puppy Love 5k, Spring Fling Gala, Surf Dog Surf-A-Thon, and TBOSL Conference on applicable years), by way of new or previous relationships; Securing in-kind donations for Education events/programs and other departments; Securing vendors for events or programs; Developing community relationships through member-based organization meetings/events; Brainstorming ideas for overhauling/advancing special projects; and acquiring Business Buddies partners. Work to expand our corporate partnerships through any avenue possible from event sponsorship and participation to employee volunteer projects and ongoing revenue-generating programs. Creativity is key to come up with new and innovative ideas for collaboration, as well as unique benefits and cross-marketing opportunities.



Requires natural leadership qualities; Ability to work independently with strong prioritizing, organization, and time management skills; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Ability to take on multiple tasks and manage through completion; Exceptional attention to detail; Sense of customer service and urgency in work; Proficient in MS Office and Facebook; Classy or other event registration/fundraising software experience a plus; and ability to lift, move, and carry 25 pounds and participate in fast-paced setup for events. Additional extended hours, evening and weekend work will be required with advance notice. A minimum of six months of event experience (management, planning, event-intensive internship) is preferred. As this position may require occasional driving duties employees must possess a valid Driverís License, complete a Driver Information Form and provide a recent DMV driving record report to be kept on file, as well as proof of insurance.
