 Job Description        

The Chicano Federation is seeking a professional Event Coordinator to work as an independent consultant to plan and coordinate a 50th Anniversary Gala celebration that will take place in May 2019. We are looking for an experienced professional that will be responsible for the full range of event coordination, from initial planning to event execution.



Extensive experience in event planning and coordination for nonprofit organizations.


 Additional Information        

Working in tandem with a Gala committee and development staff, Event Coordinator will be responsible for: Identifying a suitable event venue Developing a budget and timeline Securing event sponsorships and underwriting Coordinating a silent/live auction Creating event invitations Spearheading all event promotion and publicity Managing ticket sales and guest reservations Monitoring all event expenses and revenue Assisting with decorations and staging Helping select and coordinate entertainment and a Master of Ceremonies Serving as the key liaison between Gala committee, Chicano Federation staff, event venue, and event volunteers.
