Director of Donor Relations

 Job Description        

Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Director of Donor Relations will administer and manage all aspects of the individual giving, corporate giving, government and foundation giving, prospect research, grant development, the creation and implementation of the major giving and planned giving programs, database management, direct mail campaigns, annual giving, donor cultivation and stewardship of the branch. The Director of Donor Relations will also provide training to both board and staff with regard to working with existing and potential donors. This position also supervises the Director of Events and Community Relations. This is a key position within the Development Department that will work closely with the Executive Director and the Board of Management to provide support with fundraising strategies, long term planning, department SOPís, Marketing, Communications, and Gift Giving Policy Standards, and all aspects of fundraising.

 

 Qualifications        

1.Bachelorís Degree in marketing, business administration or related field is required. 2.Four years of related experience, including knowledge of long range planning process, annual giving, foundation/corporate solicitations, graphic design, sales, management, communications and special events is preferred. 3.General knowledge of nonprofit organizational practices. 4.Experience with budgeting and fund development. 5.Excellent verbal, written, and public speaking skills. 6.Highly developed interpersonal skills. Ability to meet with people with ease. 8. Strong organizational skills, well disciplined, able to work under pressure of many priorities and meet deadlines. 9. Must be accurate and detail oriented, possess strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a complex and fast paced environment. 10. Proven track record of success.
