Special Events Manager

 Job Description        

• Develops, manages and executes and serves as lead on all events including four annual fundraising events, donor acquisition, cultivation and recognition events, education and student events, and third party fundraising events. • Manages all aspects of planning events from development to execution including timelines, budgets, reports, venue and vendor selection, contract negotiations, food and beverage, audiovisual, marketing and promotional materials, speakers/entertainment and on-site management. • Collaborates with the PR Manager to develop event marketing and social media strategies. • Works closely with the Development team to secure event sponsorships and attendee recruitment. • Provides a high level of customer service and donor stewardship. • Excellent communication skills internally with staff and externally with JA Board members and constituents

 

 Qualifications        

College degree preferred; 3-5 years work-related experience in special event planning and fundraising desired. Successful record of achievement in fundraising events such as galas and golf tournament experience a plus. Strong organizational skills, professional attitude and strong interpersonal communication skills. Customer Relationship Management Software experience a plus.
