Development Coordinator (part-time)

 Job Description        

The Role Teach For America – San Diego seeks a driven, focused individual to serve as the Development Coordinator. The Coordinator will provide database management, administrative support, and event coordination to the development team and administrative support to the executive director. This is a part-time role for 20 hours per week,. The role offers flexibility in days/hours worked with certain non-negotiables based on regional deadlines and need. Under the direction of the Development Manager, the Coordinator will perform these primary duties: Input, organize, update, and manage donor, constituent, and event data in Salesforce (customer relationship management tool) Schedule appointments, arrange travel, and process expense reports for executive director Coordinate and schedule development activities on executive director and development team’s calendars; coordinate and track follow-up actions required from development meetings Support logistics for events

 

 Qualifications        

Skills and Qualifications A minimum of one year of prior professional work experience, preferably as a member of a development team or in an event-planning role Excellent organization skills and high attention to detail Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Genuine excitement for “behind the scenes” work, supporting a team in their success Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Strong customer service orientation Flexible, creative, optimistic and solutions-oriented Outstanding comprehension of importance of relationships & follow-through Highly motivated with strong results-orientation and open to feedback and continuous improvement Experience with MailChimp, Pardot, or a similar email marketing program preferred Experience with Salesforce or other customer relationship management software preferred Education requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

The Team The Development Coordinator will join a team of dedicated, talented, highly-effective leaders who care deeply about supporting nearly 400 total teacher leaders and alumni who are working daily toward a vision of making San Diego a destination for innovation in education, where students in all communities have access to an excellent education. The team prioritizes collaboration, open communication, learning, and growing. Members of this team have regular opportunities to connect with some of the most inspiring educators in San Diego, which includes our current cohort of teachers that work with students from Pre-K through 12th grade. This role will report directly to the Development Manager.
