 Job Description        

Seeking a high-energy development/sales professional for Full-time/Exempt Position.

The ReStore Procurement Manager is responsible for the cultivation and long-term stewardship of product donations for sale in the ReStores. This position directly coordinates all activities related to donated and purchased product from businesses and individual donors for resale. The RPM builds and maintains relationship internally and externally, representing San Diego Habitat with vendors and beyond to ensure successful acquisition of donated product. This position is responsible for meeting donation goals, weekly solicitation quotas, and working collaboratively with the Development Team.

Product Solicitation and Stewardship • Conduct research and identify potential donors. • Cultivate new donors and strengthen existing relationships through personal visits, invitations to San Diego Habitat events, calls, mailings and emails. • Create solicitation letters and proposals that articulate the case for support to engage donors who will support the mission and vision of San Diego Habitat. • In conjunction with the Development Team, implement a stewardship plan that will connect donors more closely to San Diego Habitat and increase giving over time. • Attend trade shows and participate in relevant regional groups/associations.



• 3 years of progressive fundraising experience, or 3 years of outside sales experience in the building or design industry, real estate development, or with a nonprofit.

• Proficient in Windows based CRM and Microsoft Office Suite. • Open and welcoming of people of any faith or no faith, individuals of diverse populations and socio-economic backgrounds. • Strong interpersonal communication skills and interest in successful networking. • Ability to self-motivate, strategize and close a solicitation. • Strong planning and organizational skills with attention to detail. • Demonstrated presentation and public speaking skills. • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining positive regard for others.

• Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing or related; or 1-3 years of progressively responsible experience in nonprofit development or sales. • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.

San Diego Habitat for Humanity partners with families, sponsors and communities to repair homeowner-occupied homes, and to build quality homes and to promote affordable home ownership. Our mission is supported in a number of ways, one being the ReStore, a home improvement store, open to the public, selling donated building materials. All proceeds support the San Diego Habitat mission.

• Required to pass a criminal and DMV background screen.

• Valid California Driver’s License with clean driving record.

• Ability to drive throughout San Diego County (daily travel 75%).

• Occasional work outside normal business hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends.
