Communications & Events Manager

 Job Description        

North County Lifeline is a youth and family-focused organization with a mission focused on self-reliance. The Communications and Events Manager is a key member of the Community Engagement team (fundraising, volunteerism, and marketing) and reports to the Associate Executive Director of Philanthropy. MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS: develop low-cost marketing strategies; increase Lifeline’s presence in the media; implement website and social media strategy; create and manage content alongside program managers. EVENTS: Plan and execute Lifeline’s community engagement events including planning, solicitation messaging, materials, and budget; represent Lifeline at community events. GOAL: The overall goal of this position is to support North County Lifeline’s recent program and fundraising growth. The Marketing and Events Manager will increasing financial and volunteer support for Lifeline’s mission through marketing, PR, communication, and events strategies.

 

 Qualifications        

Qualifications/Requirements This position requires proven communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to teamwork and Lifeline’s mission. The candidate must develop expertise in communicating Lifeline’s mission persuasively in written and spoken English. Spanish language skills a plus. This position requires a leader who can take initiative and is a self-starter. The position will interact with staff and volunteers across Lifeline. The successful candidate will work well both in a team and independently. Experience with marketing, communication and outreach required, including social media. Must possess public speaking skills, creativity, and passion for the mission. Ability and interest in working some evenings, holidays, and weekends. Computer skills are required. *BA in related field plus two years’ experience preferred, but equivalent work experience may be substituted.

 

 Additional Information        

Full- time 40 hours per week- Monday – Friday Weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed. Compensation & Benefits Non-Exempt status. DOE Bilingual English/Spanish compensation available for qualified candidates.
