Development and Events Coordinator

 Job Description        

Position Summary: This position provides administrative support to the development team relevant to the fundraising efforts, alumni & patron programs, and campus events of the Army and Navy Academy. This is a full-time position requiring 30-40 hours per week office hours and occasional evening and weekend availability to support events – customarily five (5) annual weekend events during the school year (September, November, March, May, and June).

 

 Qualifications        

Skills: • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and prioritize assignments, work independently and produce results with tight timelines and competing requirements. • Ability to maintain confidentiality and to use discretion when responding to inquiries and adhere to ANA campaign standards. • Exceptional writing skills and knowledge of correct grammar and spelling to compose, edit, and prepare a variety of business correspondence. • Demonstrated competency with Raisers Edge database as well as; Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook. Ability to create complex tables and reports. Education: Associate’s Degree is preferred. Must have a valid driver's license.

 

 Additional Information        

Key Areas of Responsibility 1. Assume administrative responsibilities for all general office management functions, including scheduling meetings, processing gifts, and gift acknowledgment letters, and tracking development activity budgets. 2. Organize and maintain detailed donor and prospect files in Raisers Edge. 3. Create queries and detailed reports as required from the development team. 4. Work closely with the finance office to streamline the processing of gift transfers, charges, and other accounting transactions. 5. Assist with parent, alumni and donor activities and programs. 6. Maintain guest lists, prepare registration materials and other data as assigned for fundraising events. 7. Participate in on- and off-campus events, including occasional evenings and weekends. 8. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Fundraising Events.
