Communications & Marketing Manager

 Job Description        

The primary responsibility of the Communications and Marketing Manager is to produce and oversee the branding, storytelling, marketing, and media relations for Solutions for Change. The individual needs to be an expert at the vision and key message points for the organization, and create and manage strategies to share that vision. Key Responsibilities • Writes copy for all development department needs

 

 Qualifications        

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, English, professional writing or similar field or, equivalent combination of education and experience • 2-4 years of communications experience; nonprofit experience a plus • Clear, precise and compelling writing skills • Excellent written communication skills • Skilled at adapting messaging to different audiences • Exceptionally organized, efficient, and motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently with purpose and accuracy • High proficiency in all areas of Microsoft Office to include Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint • Demonstrated success in providing exceptional support to a team • Understanding of and extensive experience with branding, particularly messaging and tone • Adept understanding of the creative process, including collaboration with graphic designers and copyrighters • Adobe Creative Suite, MailChimp, Classy, WordPress, Salesforce experience preferred

 

 Additional Information        

• Manage comprehensive strategic communications, media relations, and marketing program to advance organization’s mission and goals • Produce online newsletters, web content, social media content, press releases, annual reports, marketing literature, and other online print publications • Explore new media technologies and how they can be utilized by the organization • Manage media relations for events and key announcements for the organization • Oversee the ongoing development of a Solutions for Change mobile app • Manage the marketing of events and fundraising campaigns HOURS: Full-time, 40 hours per week, with occasional evening and weekend work required.
