 Job Description        

The Marketing Manager is responsible for coordinating and planning communications and marketing activities for the San Diego Symphony. This position works directly with outsourced marketing, public relations and social media teams to ensure that all marketing and communications campaigns are an accurate reflection of the brand personality and voice of the San Diego Symphony, and that all content is accurate. Sampling of essential responsibilities: Oversees the development of content and promotions that engage current and new audiences. Acts as the primary editor of the San Diego Symphony’s publications. Creates email campaigns and manages the content strategy, email software and analytics for those campaigns. Ensures e-mail lists are managed and extracted correctly for use in marketing campaigns.



Bachelor’s Degree required; an emphasis in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field preferred. Three to five years of experience (minimum) with progressively greater responsibility and successful outcomes in a comparable position. Experience preferred in the following areas: multi-dimensional marketing projects and/or online marketing and new media technologies. Working experience with Adobe Pro and the Adobe Creative Suite.


 Additional Information        

Candidates must be available to work nights, weekends, and overtime as required for concert and rehearsal coverage. Regular, predictable attendance required as well as evening and weekend work shifts. Email hr @ for a full job description.
