 Job Description        

The Development Manager assumes responsibility for all fundraising and development, in concert with the Executive Director and Development Committee. Assist in the administration of donor relations including outreach, recognition, and reporting. Research and report on potential grant or other funding opportunities. Assist in the preparation of grant and other funding applications. Manage the reporting and other requirements of funders. Prepare and present regular reports on fundraising and development activities. Act as secretary of Development Committee, taking and sharing notes and action items with completion dates as appropriate. Enter and accurately record donations and other funds in QuickBooks. Establish and maintain working relationships with community partners to identify and secure resources for the Residents and the Organization. Recommend, develop and carry out improvements to meet changing organizational parameters, requirements and needs.



Two years of relevant education, experience or a combination of the two. Demonstrated record of success in fundraising and development. Proven relationship management experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong marketing and public relations experience. Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, QuickBooks and design software Completion of a physical exam, TB test, and criminal record check prior to employment.


 Additional Information        

The Development Manager is a key team member, responsible for supporting the mission and purpose of Fraternity House, Inc. (FHI) as it relates to the care of the Clients & Residents at its two licensed Residential Care Facilities for the Chronically Ill (RCF-CI): Fraternity House with eight (8) Residents, and Michaelle House with twelve (12) Residents; and at our Independent Living Apartments (ILAs). SALARY RANGE: $45,760 - $48,000 BENEFITS: Health care stipend, paid vacation, personal time, some holidays, ability to work remotely.
