 Job Description        

Position Summary: Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, the Marketing and Communications Manager creates and implements the marketing, public relations, and digital content strategy for the Museum, including web content, social media posts, videos, and various other content-related tasks. This position requires excellent writing and project management skills. This position will handle all aspects of video production including videography and editing for promotional posts. Will work closely with multiple departments that include graphic design, development and membership, curatorial and education, along with its external public relations and web firms, in developing, implementing, and maintaining branding and advertising campaigns, and disseminating Museum communications. This position will supervise a part-time digital marketing coordinator.



•B.A. or equivalent preferred in marketing, communications, or public relations. •Minimum of 3-5 years experience in marketing, communications, or public relations. •Superior creative writing and storytelling skills. •Collegial, and able to communicate clearly, concisely, and diplomatically in written and spoken language with a wide range of people. •Lateral thinking skills, or the ability to make creative connections between ideas. Ability to toggle between a global perspective and the smallest details with a high degree of accuracy. •Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and working knowledge of HTML. •Accelerated experience with web content management, Wordpress. •Accelerated experience with Mailchimp, Hootsuite, Survey Monkey, Google Analytics, and online management systems required. •Accelerated with Microsoft Office Suite. •Excellent communication skills, both oral and written are required. •Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work efficiently under pressure
