Our ideal candidate is a leader and innovative decision maker who helps the organization evaluate, strategize, and scale the Museumís marketing strategy, at a pivotal time for museums as a whole. This candidate is a metrics and data-driven marketing expert who can deliver a comprehensive digital marketing strategy that will drive earned revenue for the Museum. This position must possess a high degree of creativity as well as managerial, organizational and process development skills, and have a proven track record of identifying and implementing successful streams of earned revenue.
BA (required). Bachelorís degree in communications, graphic design, or related area preferred.
At least 5 years of lead marketing and communications management is required.
Nonprofit/museum experience preferred, but not required.
Demonstrated excellence in organizational, managerial, and communication skills.
Proficiency in InDesign, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and working with a CMS (Craft, WordPress, Drupal, etc.) required.
Google Analytics certification preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of website and social media platforms.
Effective leadership and team building skills required.
Superb attention to detail is critical for the position.
Ability to complete multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently and cooperatively with staff, volunteers, and others in a culturally diverse environment.
Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal).
