 Job Description        

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Formulate fundraising strategies including efforts to increase funding from current and past donors and the expansion of funding from newly identified prospects • Work with ED, Board Members and staff to establish a long-term fundraising model • Create and grow individual (including major gifts), corporate, and foundation revenue including identification and cultivation of major donors • Direct and oversee all fundraising events and programs • Design and oversee communication plan which promotes and enhances Casa de Amistad’s brand and reputation • Manage and create content for all social media platforms • Research and write government and foundation grant proposals • Identify and cultivate major gift prospects • Develop, monitor, and achieve revenue targets and success metrics • Document all activity in the donor database according to defined protocol to drive fundraising and key metrics reports • Special projects as they arise



The ideal candidate has the following: • Experience in all aspects of fundraising and development • Ability to generate and manage charitable revenues • Experience researching and writing grants • Ability to promote and communicate Casa de Amistad’s mission to a wide range of audiences • A passion for Casa de Amistad’s mission KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university is required; a master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. business administration, nonprofit management) is a plus • A minimum of five years of professional experience is required, with at least 3-5 years of progressive experience in fundraising/development • A track record of successfully soliciting and closing gifts, preferably in the amount of $10,000 or above • Understand high-level stakeholder interactions and communications; familiarity and experience with San Diego (and national) foundations, donors and grant making agencies strongly preferred


 Additional Information        

COMPENSATION: $65,000-$75,000 annual salary range. Eligible benefits include wellness allowance, paid time off, holiday pay, and professional development opportunities.
