 Job Description        

The Communications & Events Manager supports North County Lifeline’s recent program and fundraising growth.This position is a key member of the Community Engagement team (fundraising, volunteerism, communications and events), Lifeline’s Management team, and reports to the Associate Executive Director of Philanthropy. MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS: develop and implement low-cost marketing strategies; increase Lifeline’s presence in the media; implement website and social media strategy; create and manage content alongside program managers. EVENTS: Plan and execute Lifeline’s community engagement events including planning, solicitation messaging, materials, and budget; represent Lifeline at community events. GOAL: The Marketing and Events Manager will increase financial and volunteer support for Lifeline’s mission through marketing, PR, communication, and events strategies. A bachelor's degree in communications, public relations or a relevant field and 3+ years’ experience are necessary for this job. MA preferred. This position requires creativity, proven communication and interpersonal skills, teamwork, and a commitment to Lifeline’s mission. The candidate will have experience managing low-cost communication platforms including website (content management and updates), email, social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Linked In). Candidates will have experience with media and public relations, including public speaking, as well as event management. Spanish language skills a plus. Successful candidates can work well both in a team and independently, and will take initiative to see projects through successfully. This position interacts with staff and volunteers across Lifeline, requiring a self-starter who can develop meaningful internal relationships in order to communicate Lifeline’s mission to the public.


 Additional Information        

Work Schedule is full-time 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday as well as occasional weekends, evenings, and holidays; non- exempt position. The position requires the candidate to work remotely and on site across Lifeline’s locations. Hiring range DOE with an additional bilingual English/Spanish compensation available for qualified candidates.
