 Job Description        

As part of the Development & Senior Admin team, the Sponsorship & Business Development Manager is responsible for building a portfolio of sponsors and cause-marketing partners for Boys & Girls Club of San Marcos (BGCSM). This smart, high-energy and strategic leader will raise funds to help achieve revenue goals that will support all efforts of BGCSM. This person will identify new potential corporate partners and develop comprehensive strategies based on research and evaluation, securing annual and multi-year sponsorship commitments. They will manage execution and fulfillment of all sponsorship agreements and related elements.



Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or other related field. 2-4 years sales/marketing experience. Experience working with/managing volunteers and working in a nonprofit (preferred). Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset; comfortable making cold calls. Strong negotiation and clear communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to thrive and work effectively as part of a small team in a fast-paced and rapidly growing program, in addition to remaining self-motivated and goal-oriented. Excellent computer skills (MS Office, DonorPerfect donor management software). Strong attention to detail and accuracy, ability to prioritize and organize multiple projects, meet deadlines, problem-solve and multi-task. Ability to prioritize, exercise good judgment, work independently as well as in collaboration. Maintain donor confidentiality and respond to sensitive matters with discretion and diplomacy. Creative in looking at new ways to service and satisfy sponsors.
