|
Nonprofit that provides vocational training to hundreds of veterans a year seeks experienced fundraising professional to expand our fund development capacity. If you are a hyper-organized, excellent communicator passionate about fundraising and social impact, we’d love to hear from you. Veterans preferred. The new hire will work closely with the Executive Director and Chief Strategy Officer to ensure that the agency has the resources needed to meet the intense need coming both from veteran applicants and business partners.
•Support the fundraising activities of our founders—the Executive Director and Chief Strategy Officer—to include drafting donor communications, grant requests, and proposals; ensuring their timely attention to all fundraising priorities; preparing donor acknowledgements; conducting research on prospects before meetings; and other tasks as identified
•Collaborate with the executive team, consultants, and the Board of Directors to create and implement a development

Qualifications |
|
|
|
|
•Professional: Minimum of 3-5 years nonprofit fundraising experience; knowledge of or experience in veteran affairs field a plus; must have a valid driver’s license and consistent access to a car
•Preferred Skills: Fluency with Microsoft Office tools and Salesforce CRM a must; experience with foundation research and a donor database is preferred
•Personal Attributes: Must be a self-starter with strong organizational, communication/presentation and customer service skills; have the ability to interact with and relate well to others, and possess the ability to work independently; must have a keen eye for detail and a collaborative spirit; must be flexible, have a positive, can-do attitude, and have a strong desire to work helping others
•Academic Requirements: Bachelor’s degree preferred

•Fluency with writing grants and proposals
•Previous success meeting fundraising goals through diverse funding streams
•Ability to organize, motivate, and lead colleagues, board members, and volunteers to success
•Experience seeking out and cultivating relationships that lead to both new and increased funding
•Experience leading or supporting donor recognition and stewardship activities
•Capital campaign and fundraising event experience a plus
•Demonstrated commitment to social impact and ideally to veterans’ issues
