Development Director

RESPONSIBILITES: The Development Director reports directly to the SDCCF Board of Directors. He or she is responsible for the consistent achievement and advancement of the SCCCF’s mission and financial objectives as established by the Board. The position will report to the Board of Directors with responsibilities including: • Initiate the development of a fundraising master plan for the Foundation • Attain Short- and long-term fundraising goals • Develop and implement fundraising campaign for the San Diego City College Centennial • Plan, organize and implement fundraising and friend-raising activities • Design and execute a Planned-giving program • Develop and secure funds for staff expansion • Implement a Board Member expansion plan

QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate for Development Director of the San Diego City College Foundation (SDCCF) would be expected to have at a minimum: Five years of foundation management experience: a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution related to fundraising; and excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills. Additionally, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of securing funds through annual and capital campaigns; major gifts; board gifts; grants; alumni; and planned giving.
