Director of Development

 Job Description        

Full time, exempt position. 1. Create and oversee development of KIT’s annual fundraising plan. 2. Work closely with CEO on gift campaigns and other initiatives. 3. Create & execute an on-going strategy for building a large, sustained base of individual donors & supporters. 4. Secure in-kind donations & sponsorships to support KIT events & activities. 5. Plan & implement meaningful donor club events that connect donors to KIT's mission. 6. Develop, implement & evaluate the following: direct mail, online fundraising, major gifts, corporate solicitation, donor recognition & planned gifts. 7. Serve as staff liaison for the Resource Development & Marketing committee of the Board of Directors. 8. Attend board meetings & other meetings as requested. 9. Maintain online donor software program. 10. Maintain an active community presence through membership or participation in appropriate civic, networking or business organizations. 11. Conduct grant research and contribute to grant writing and reporting.

 

 Qualifications        

The Director of Development has the primary responsibility for the planning and execution of a comprehensive fundraising strategy for Kids Included Together. The Director of Development will expand and direct the strategy for philanthropy, build relationships for long-term philanthropic support, and manage all fundraising elements for the organization. Qualified candidates must possess: 1. Four-year degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience 2. CFRE preferred 3. At least 3 years experience in non-profit fundraising management 4. Mastery of fund development principles 5. Proven track record of successful fundraising that includes annual giving, foundation and corporate, planned giving and donor stewardship, acquisition and retention.
