Wayword, Inc., a San Diego based nonprofit that produces the public radio show and podcast A Way with Words, is looking for a part-time development coordinator! We are looking for a creative, energetic, self-driven professional to assist the development team in the implementation of Wayword, Inc.’s fundraising.
The development coordinator will work closely with the development manager to:
*Maintain comprehensive donor database and process donations
*Compose donor letters and other nonprofit communications
*Compose and send thank-yous and tax letters to donors
*Research donor and sponsor prospects for the radio show/podcast, for the annual fundraising event, and for speaking tours
*Research and provide support in grant writing
*Provide event planning and support
*Support the development manager in various projects, including in-depth research, planning, and implementation.

*Previous experience working with a nonprofit (1-3 years)
*Grant writing experience
The development coordinator position is a part-time, payrolled, non-exempt position of no more than 30 hours a week compensated at a rate of $15.00 per hour without benefits.
