 Job Description        

The Accountant – Accountant/ Payroll, reports to the Senior Accounting Manager. This role is responsible for processing monthly journal entries and assisting month end close. She/he also responsible preparing semi-monthly payroll in an accurate, efficient and timely manner. For complete details please visit: http://www.secondchanceprogram.org/

 

 Qualifications        

For this specific role, you’ll need: Proven working experience as accounts payable. Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles. Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records. Minimum 2 years or more of payroll and general ledger. Knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting software. Not-for-profit experience preferred. Required to have a valid CA driver’s license and properly registered and insured motor vehicle meeting the minimum level of insurance as defined under the California Department of Motor Vehicle Code. Meet background and security clearance guidelines and pass background check: Criminal background clearance through the State of California Department of Justice(DOJ) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Drug Testing as required by federal contracts. Driving record through the State of California Department of Motor Vehicles(DMV). Maintain a valid Tuberculosis Test, First Aid & CPR Certification.
