 Job Description        

The Grants department at Father Joe’s Villages seeks a talented grant writer who is passionate about improving the lives of men, women, children and families experiencing homelessness and poverty in San Diego. Under the supervision of the Director of Grants, the Grants Officer will develop and write private and public grant proposals in a high-volume, mission-driven environment. Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: writing, preparing and submitting grant applications of moderate to high complexity; project management, including coordination with staff across various departments accepting and incorporating feedback; and ensuring that all assigned deadlines are met.



• A Bachelor’s degree in English, writing, non-profit management, sociology or other relevant field.

• 3-5 years experience in grant writing or other technical/professional writing including experience writing government grants.
