 Job Description        

North County Lifeline is a trusted youth and family-focused organization with a mission focused on self-reliance. This position plays a crucial role in the organization’s growing External Relations department, which encompasses fundraising, volunteerism, and marketing. The Development Coordinator’s portfolio includes writing grants and proposals, developing fundraising appeals for individual donors, creating stewardship reports and materials, providing leadership support for fundraising and marketing events, and representing North County Lifeline in the community. The ideal candidate will create compelling material to share Lifeline’s mission with individual donors, foundations, corporations and other community members. The overall goal of this position is to strengthen Lifeline’s youth and family services by increasing the community’s financial and volunteer support through fundraising, marketing and outreach strategies.



BA plus two years previous experience preferred, but equivalent work experience may be substituted. Must possess strong organizational and time management skills and exceptional attention to detail. Must possess a general understanding of and experience with databases. Training will be provided for the Gift Works donor database. Must possess excellent oral communication skills, exercise good judgment, and be able to work independently within agency committees or administrative teams on special projects. Superior proofreading and copy editing abilities required. Content will be developed for a wide variety of mediums including grants, direct mail fundraising letters, e-appeals e-newsletters, fund proposals for individuals or institutions, website, and marketing materials. North County Lifeline’s purpose as a community-based organization is to identify gaps in self-reliance and respond with solutions for low-income and high-need residents.

Compensation & Benefits Salary: DOE Benefit package according to Employee Handbook. Bilingual English/Spanish compensation available for qualified candidates.
