 Job Description        

Specific Responsibilities: Accountable to Program Manager and Division Director. Duties: 1. The development, implementation, and evaluation of an integrated treatment approach for youth and families with co-occurring psychiatric and substance disorders and quality trauma informed youth programs that adhere to and uphold the rigorous standards of San Diego Youth Services as mandated by its mission, purpose, guiding principles and standards of quality. 2. Primary role will include the provision of case management and supportive/rehabilitative services to enrolled youth/family, as applicable. 3. Provide assertive outreach services to local homeless shelters and drop-in centers. Screen youth/families as appropriate for the clinic. Provide outreach services to youth while waiting for counseling services. 4. Must be flexible to provide services in-home, at satellite offices, in shelter environments and in the community as needed. & more.



Qualifications: Must have direct experience as a consumer or care-giver of a consumer of childrenís mental health services, the juvenile justice system, or Special Education. Must have a Bachelorís degree or four years of supervised experience with children and adolescents including the documentation of services following a standard protocol. Experience working with former foster youth and/or runaway and homeless youth preferred. Must be able to pass clearance for working with Minors. Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred. Committed to cultural awareness. Must have good driving record and willing to use own, properly insured vehicle for the job. Must be willing to develop or possess working knowledge of trauma-informed care and dual diagnosis treatment; experience working in trauma-informed and dual diagnosis programs preferred.
