Under the general supervision of the Vice President of Development, the Grants Manager is responsible for researching, writing, submitting, and tracking grant proposals for all program and operating needs of the Food Bank. The incumbent will prepare written materials for fundraising and stewardship with foundations and corporations; this person will cultivate and steward relationships with prospective, current and past funders to ensure strong partnerships are developed and maintained. The Grants Manager will work closely with the Vice President of Development, other members of the Development and Communications teams, as well as Program staff to execute the development strategy.

A qualified candidate has:
College degree & 3-5 years grant writing experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience
Excellent attention to detail
Valid California's driver's license
Excellent English writing, proofreading and verbal communications
Nonprofit grant writing, highly preferred
Experience with hunger relief, preferred
