 Job Description        

• Research, prepare, submit, and (if awarded) manage institutional grants to foundation, corporate and government sources; track and evaluate progress against goals • Build relationships with funders, government representatives, and others among the state’s stakeholders to advance our mission and fundraising goals • Maintain an ongoing grants tracking sheet, with benchmarks and deadlines, keeping senior leadership apprised on a regular basis. Develop and manage timelines for various fundraising activities (e.g., grant solicitation, grant reporting, individual solicitations, annual appeals, donor stewardship) to ensure the fundraising processes are carried out in a timely manner, including tracking and meeting submission and reporting deadlines • Oversee the administration and accuracy of the donor database • Prepare a monthly development report of all contributed income



To apply, send cover letter, resume, listing of grants written/received, and a writing sample to Job requirements: • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience • Minimum 3 years’ work experience in a nonprofit organization • Proven success in grantwriting, grants management, and nonprofit writing a must • Should have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to generate, understand, utilize, and analyze data • Must have outstanding organizational, budget, time management, project management, and planning skills that are applicable to fundraising • Proficiency is required with the most recent Microsoft Office Suite • Strong math skills and ability to develop accurate project budgets, and development-related financial and other database-driven reports; ability to work with the CFO on finance-related matters • Skilled in using donor software and database applications and be able to ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting,


 Additional Information        

• As time allows, serve as a philanthropy resource to the network of 44 local CASA programs. • As time allows, work on social media or other communications initiatives that promote philanthropy within and beyond the California CASA network. • Support the CEO and Chief Philanthropy Officer on the implementation of special initiatives and projects as assigned, and other duties as assigned. • Demonstrated ability to work well with staff, volunteers, and Board members in achieving philanthropic goals • Ability to engage, inspire, and communicate effectively with a variety of individuals and constituents, including Board members, individual donors, foundation representatives, corporate executives, government officials, CASA program directors and other CA CASA network partners, and key stakeholders;
