Senior Grants Administrator

 Job Description        

The Senior Grants Administrator serves as the primary point of contact in the development of the federal, state and county funding pipeline and conducts prospect research on viable grant-making sources. The Senior Grants Administrator may also be tasked with preparing large scale proposals to national foundations. The Senior Grants Administrator independently develops, writes and submits proposals or other funding requests; supervises the Grants Administrator; reviews and approves grant proposals prepared by the Grants Administrator; and works in partnership with individuals and departments to oversee the post-award process including creating and filing financial and narrative reports to institutional funders. The Senior Grants Administrator meets regularly with the Chief Development Officer to provide status updates on pending submissions, discuss new opportunities, and assess progress toward goal.  Qualifications        

A Bachelorís degree is required, and a Masterís degree preferred. Four years of institutional fundraising experience preferred, with an emphasis on grants (research, writing, reporting, stewardship); experience in marketing a plus. Applicants must have demonstrated success in garnering grant funds from both private and public sources. Experience in dealing effectively and tactfully with institutional funding representatives, board members, volunteer leaders, donors, and other constituencies is strongly preferred. Must be willing to work in a team environment. Must meet all screening requirements as set forth in the California Rules of Court, Rule 5.655.

 

 Additional Information
