Grant Writer II

 Job Description        

The Grant Writer II will be responsible for the full cycle of grant seeking, and limited aspects of post-award activity. The successful candidate will identify federal, state, local and private funding opportunities, and will develop both programmatic and research proposals using superior communication skills. This will include all data gathering and analysis required to demonstrate funding need and characterize the patient population, as well as development of narrative prose, budget and all ancillary documentation for proposal package submission; and documentation of all prospecting activities, submissions and outcomes. This position, under the supervision of the Associate Director of Grants Management, will also be responsible for limited grant implementation and deliverable monitoring.



*2 years minimum experience in proposal development required. *2+ years proposal development experience in a FQHC or other non-profit health context preferred. *Experience developing both research and programmatic proposals preferred. *Recent experience with NIH, PCORI, and/or AHRQ grants preferred. *Demonstrated experience with governmental grant submissions especially HRSA EHB,, Grant Solutions and similar interfaces required. *Demonstrated ability to multi-task, be flexible, ensure accuracy, and meet changing priorities in a fast-paced, high-workload environment. *Exceptional project management, time management and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
