Grants Management Specialist

 Job Description        

The Grants Management Specialist will provide expertise and support to develop a strong, consistent, and proactive campaign to increase grants to AVID and its clients and to enhance AVID’s position as a thought leader in education. The Grants Management Specialist will manage the “Funding AVID - Client Support” project and provide project management, financial, and compliance oversight of grants awarded to AVID Center.

 

 Qualifications        

What we’re looking for in a Grants Management Specialist: • Passion for and a commitment to AVID’s mission • Demonstrated success working with cross-functional teams and managing projects—preferably, foundation-funded grants—from design to closing using project management tools • Experience applying accounting standards and practices to nonprofit and grant funding • Excellent organizational and time-management skills • Exceptional attention to detail and follow-up abilities, particularly in working with budgets and contracts • Flexibility, adaptability, and creative problem-solving when faced with complex challenges • Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment • Excited about the opportunity to wear many hats within the Marketing, Communications, and Development team • Excellent work ethic, positive attitude, openness to feedback, and great integrity
