Development Associate

 Job Description        

The Development Associate is a full-time position, with joint reporting to the Director of Marketing and Branding, which will provide fundraising support for individual and corporate sponsorships, planned giving, annual giving campaigns, event fundraising, and stewardship. The Development Associate will: • Implement and ensure stewardship/acknowledgment procedures • Manage development-driven data entry including gift entry, event attendee tracking, prospect/donor research • Track and record donor data • Ensure fulfillment of donor/sponsor benefits • Prepare and track sponsorship proposals and packages • Maintain detailed fundraising reports • Manage schedules, arrange meetings, and prepare printed materials to facilitate individual and corporate donor relations from cultivation to closing solicitation to ensuring recognition • Support staff in developing new donor relationships (including individuals, corporations, and other philanthropic investments)

 

 Qualifications        

Education and Experience • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent • Proven knowledge of fundraising principles and strategies • Knowledge of Salesforce/Patron Manager a plus • Successful experience working with donors and community partners • Demonstrable success in database and project management Skills • Team-oriented; professionalism shown to those in all levels of our diverse organization including the public and donors • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision • Proficiency in crafting donor correspondence, conducting research, and managing database requirements • Detail-oriented and highly organized with excellent telephone, email, and in-person etiquette • Exceptional interpersonal, prospect development, and solicitation skills • Highly established computer skills including Microsoft Office and Google Drive
