Certified Substance Abuse Counselor Outpatient Program

 Job Description        

This position will provide direct services to clients located in addiction recovery programs within Interfaith. Substance abuse counselors provide support to clients who are experiencing homelessness, have alcohol and/or drug addictions, mental health, and social/legal/economic barriers. Substance abuse counselors maintain a safe and secure environment for the clients, ensure clients adhere to program policies, and support the mission of Interfaith Community Services. $22-$26 per hour DOE, Full-time, Benefits Eligible!

 

 Qualifications        

• High School Diploma or equivalent required • Must be currently certified by the California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals (CCAPP) • 2+ years of experience working in an addiction treatment facility, social services or nonprofit setting required • Experience working with individuals with alcohol, drug, mental illness, or ho• Must have reliable transportation and possess and maintain a valid California driver's license, including proof of personal vehicle insurance coverage and insurability under the agency's insurance carrier's standards • Must successfully pass a criminal background and exclusion/disbarment check • Must successfully pass a pre-employment physical, tuberculosis test, and drug screenmelessness required
