Program Specialist -Resident Leadership Academy

 Job Description        

The Resident Leadership Academy (RLA) Program Specialist shall coordinate and implement a community-level RLA program to residents of Southeastern San Diego. The RLA program design shall include development of leadership skills and tools to resolve RLA-identified community issues that negatively impact resident health, safety and well-being (including self-sufficiency). This position is responsible for assisting RLA participants to develop a Community Improvement Project (CIP) Action Plan, which includes strategies to engage local government, regional community residents, and other stakeholders in solutions and solution implementation.

 

 Qualifications        

Bachelorís Degree and minimum of 2 year of related experience working children, youth (ages 0 - 25) and their families  Preference given to applicants that have completed RLA training or participated in a RLA  CPR and First Aid certified  Communicate effectively in written and oral form using positive interpersonal skills  Experience facilitating social interaction in group settings  Excellent communication skills, critical thinking, time management and active listening  Ability to develop complex spreadsheets and reports  Highly self-motivated and shows initiative in executing successful completion of projects within required timelines  Be able to maintain confidentiality  Be able to maintain positive, supportive and professional approach  Ability to successfully collaborate with various teams  Must receive Fingerprint Clearance upon hire (paid by Harmonium)  Valid TB results required  Reliable automobile, valid CA Driverís license, proof of current automobile insurance

 

 Additional Information        

Department: Youth Development Hours: Up to 5 hours per week Salary: $19.00 - $23.80 per hour (all new hires begin at starting salary regardless of experience) Benefits: 403b Retirement Plan with a match of up to 2% based on years of service; CA Paid Sick Leave accrued at 1 hour per 30 hours worked with a maximum accrual of 80 hours per calendar year Please apply on our website: www.http://www.harmoniumsd.org/wp/employment-2/.
