Program Director, Human Trafficking Research & Grants Manager, Center for Justice and Reconciliation

 Job Description        

The person in this position will lead the CJR in establishing and maintaining a centralized clearinghouse for human trafficking related research in the San Diego/Tijuana region. (50%) This position is also responsible for developing and sustaining effective management of CJR grants, including identifying new sources of funding and grant writing. (50%) Research duties will include: 1) aggregating regional HT-related research, 2) convening and facilitating collaboration between HT researchers working in the region, 3) facilitating the networking between practitioners and researchers, 4) identifying potential HT research funding for researchers studying HT in San Diego/Tijuana, 5) improving public knowledge of the results of county-wide research related to human trafficking across multiple disciplines and sectors through regular a) research updates and b) an annual research conference.

 

 Qualifications        

Masterís degree or higher with social science research experience; research experience in human trafficking desired Methodical and strategic thinking Program design and development Strong interpersonal skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Budgeting and accounting experience and knowledge of auditing policies Experienced marketing and/or presentation skills Excellent project management and organizational abilities Ability to maintain and foster relationships with diverse constituencies Ability to analyze and adopt effective course of action Initiate, plan and meet deadlines while managing multiple priorities Ability to motivate and develop others Ability to work independently; excellent analytical, critical thinking and self-motivational skills; excellent advocacy and persuasive skills Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with field personal, outside business associates and senior level management Ability to be flexible, adaptable and m
