Bilingual Community Health Educator and Advocate

 Job Description        

Under the supervision of the Director of HIV Testing, the Bilingual Community Health Educator and Advocate is responsible for coordinating The Center's sexual health education and prevention efforts; assisting clients with linkage to care and other supportive resources; conducting HIV and HCV testing and counseling services; providing linkages to PrEP interventions for appropriate candidates; conducting LGBTQ health-specific trainings, presentations, and special events advocating for greater diversity and inclusion; and providing services under The Center's NEXUS project.



Education and/or Experience: Case management and/or client navigator experience with clients living with HIV/AIDS required. Certification as an HIV test counselor required. Additionally, experience with HIV prevention in diverse communities including MSM, Local Evaluation Online (LEO) software, ADAP and Covered California enrollment experience is strongly preferred. Prior experience working in the LGBT and HIV communities required, preferably in a non-profit setting. Language Skills: Fluency in English and Spanish required
