 Job Description        

In partnership with the P & E Director, implement and evaluate CCS’s strengths-based, community driven, culturally humble, evidence-based, relationship and sexual violence prevention and education programs. Facilitate community collaboration to design programs that meet goals aimed at preventing sexual assault and intimate partner violence. Oversee and support the organization and implementation of strategic community outreach to underserved populations throughout San Diego County. Develop strategies to improve access to trauma-informed services and prevention programs that create positive social change against sexual and relationship violence. Responsible for the supervision & management of Prevention Coordinators and Prevention & Education volunteers. Encourage and support the professional development of Prevention Coordinators through individual and group specialized strategies that expand and refine their instruction and evaluation skills.



EDUCATION  Master’s degree in social work, education, counseling, criminal justice, public health, or related field. EXPERIENCE  Minimum 2 years’ experience managing programs and staff.  Minimum 2 years’ experience training individuals &/or groups & community outreach.  Budgeting & contract management experience. REQUIRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE Knowledge of evidence-based public health, domestic violence & sexual violence prevention.  Knowledge of individual, social, and relational dynamics relative to relationship & sexual violence.  Excellent public relations, public speaking & community development skills.  Knowledge and practice in training & facilitation techniques, and an understanding of interactive training approaches.  Must demonstrate an acceptance & respect for cultural diversity in all its forms, including ethnicity, sexual orientation, abilities, & religious backgrounds. Skilled at the development of compelling curriculum that can be adapted to groups.


 Additional Information
