Team Leader II Mental Health Programs

 Job Description        

Home Start, a leader in providing child abuse prevention and family strengthening services in San Diego County for 45 years, is seeking an experienced Team Leader for the mental health department. The team leader is responsible for the overall management and supervision (both administrative and clinical) of the program and assumes responsibility for day to day operations of all program activities. The team leader facilitates goal setting, planning, and implementation of team responsibilities, and is responsible for building and maintaining team cohesion. The team leader will assign cases, supervise Therapists, and conduct annual performance evaluations. Position is for 30 hours per week.



Masters in social work, psychology or related human services field required and experiencer in administrative supervision of mental health staff and/or interns required. Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred. Must have experience in providing trauma treatment services to children in counseling or social work setting and knowledge of child abuse dynamics, family violence and family systems. Case management and home visiting experience a plus. The ability to be detail-oriented to administrative tasks, responsive to team members' needs and the ability to build team cohesion is essential to this position. Knowledge of PCIT and TF-CBT preferred.
