Project Manager - REACH Chula Vista

GENERAL SUMMARY PART TIME (.8FTE) 4 days per week flexible. October 1, 2017-September 30, 2018. The REACH Project Manager will coordinate day-to-day operations of the REACH program in Chula Vista. As a member of the CHIP team, the manager will actively support the core values, vision and mission of Community Health Improvement Partners. MAJOR DUTIES AND TASKS •Provide support to the Project Director in the coordination and implementation of day-to-day activities and special projects. •Provide project partners with technical assistance and project implementation support. •Facilitate and support project meetings, as needed. •Support community and partner relations. •Support project and program communications, reporting, and evaluation. •Assist with grant writing and fund development. •Coordinate intern recruitment and management. •Participate as a member of the CHIP team including attending staff meetings and providing support for special events and projects. •Additional responsibilities and duties as directed.



EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS •Bachelor’s degree in health, business or related field preferred. •Bilingual in English and Spanish. •Minimum of three years of experience as a program coordinator or manager. •Knowledge of and experience working in the community of Chula Vista. •Experience in website management and social media (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube). •Excellent oral and written comprehension and communication skills (e.g. dictation, spelling, grammar and proofreading) an absolute must. •Must be self-directed, motivated, creative, and able to work in a team environment. •Must possess outstanding organizational skills and be detail oriented and possess the ability to work on multiple projects, prioritize, and meet deadlines/evolving expectations. •Positive, enthusiastic presence with good public relations skills and respectful, professional demeanor required. •Familiarity and/or experience in the field of obesity prevention and/or public health preferred.
