 Job Description        

Position The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will work collaboratively with the Board of Directors in leading the organization in developing and delivering on its mission and long-term vision. The CEO will ensure that the organization’s fiscal, operations, fundraising, marketing, human resource, technology, and programmatic strategies are effectively implemented across all segments of the organization. Responsibilities Strategic vision and leadership • Collaborate with the Board to refine the long-term vision, implement the strategic plan and ensure that the finances, staff, volunteers, and priorities are aligned with the organization’s core mission and vision • Provide inspirational leadership and direction to all staff, and ensure the continued development and management of a professional and efficient organization; establish effective decision-making processes that will enable IHO to achieve its long- and short-term goals and objectives • Continue and strengthen a strong and transpar

 

 Qualifications        

Required Skills and Abilities: • Proven experience in the affordable housing industry, preferably within an organization that acquires, develops, manages and provides resident services. Experience in Work Force, Low Income and Special Needs Housing • Minimum of a BA, ideally with an advanced degree • At least 7 to 10 years of overall professional experience in a related organization • Prior nonprofit experience preferred • Excellent verbal and written communications skills and effective public speaking • Knowledge of non-profit and community finance and accounting • Knowledge of grant writing and administration of Federal, State, Foundation and Private Grants. • Knowledge and experience in Low-Income Housing Tax Credits and other affordable housing financing opportunities • Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory issues related to development utilizing Federal, State and local funding resources • Experience utilizing diverse forms of funding in support of development, acquis
