 Job Description        

The Director of Operations is responsible for daily administration and good organizational management of the San Diego Human Dignity Foundation, which includes but is not limited to leadership and fundraising efforts, maintaining relationships with the Foundationís stakeholders, public relations and marketing, sound management of all fiscal resources, supervision of all staff, and business operations in accordance with standard business practices. In addition, they are responsible for all grant making programs, including the fundraising, priority setting, grant review and fund allocation processes, and grant management procedures. The Director of Operations works with and supports the Board of Directors to define priorities especially through the strategic plan, builds and develops teamwork among Board members and other volunteer and member leaders, ensures the implementation of the strategic plan, and ensures program and fiscal accountability. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: An undergraduate degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required. Demonstrated leadership and management ability, preferably in a nonprofit setting; experience leading and participating on teams with shared responsibility for decision-making; successful history of fundraising . Organized, efficient, motivated, and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple long- and short-term projects simultaneously, meeting all related deadlines; ability to plan, prioritize, coordinate, and manage own work. Excellent communication skills (oral and written), interpersonal and relationship-building skills to effectively work with a diverse peoples and personalities. Proficient with general computer programs and ability to keep current with evolving technologies. Must demonstrate the ability to be culturally competent in all respects. Personal qualities should include: integrity, credibility, and dedication to the mission of SDHDF.


 Additional Information        

Salary Range $63,000 Ė $67,000, commensurate with experience. Benefits include: paid time off: holidays, vacation, and sick leave; Health/Dental/Vision Insurance; 403(b) retirement plan with company match; Life Insurance. Target start date: January 2, 2018.
