Program Director

 Job Description        

Position Overview: The Program Director has overall operational responsibility for the Esperanza International (EI) volunteer program. He/she ensures that the program is in line with the mission, vision and values of EI by executing, monitoring, evaluating and expanding the program. The director acts as the primary interface between volunteer group leaders and our partner organization in Mexico, Fundacíon Esperanza de México (FEM).Primary responsibilities also include Board administration and support, program management, financial management, and community and public relations

 

 Qualifications        

Minimum of a BA in an appropriate field. Three years of experience in a team management role. Experience with word processing, database and spreadsheet skills sufficient to prepare correspondence, reports, forms, etc. with speed and accuracy. Experience managing social media campaigns. Willingness to learn and use new computer programs/applications. Strong organizational, time management, customer service and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in collaboration within a multicultural context. Passion, idealism, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed. Experience volunteering in a group situation. Proficient in Spanish. Have a valid passport/travel documents. Willingness to travel to FEM in Tijuana as needed.
