Program Manager - Family Self Sufficiency Program

 Job Description        

Home Start, a leader in providing family strengthening services in San Diego County for over 45 years, is seeking a high energy, experienced manager for the Family Self Sufficiency Services programs. The Program Manager ensures overall service quality through administrative supervision and oversight of the project services including program planning and development. Duties and responsibilities include: Supervising staff, including day-to-day activities and goal setting; Training on implementation of workforce development strategies; Ensuring accurate and timely collection and reporting of client and service information and completion of case files; Collecting data, writing and preparing program reports to funders; Overseeing compliance with contract standards and provisions through the ongoing monitoring of program utilization and evaluation; Representing the agency at public and professional meetings; and developing and managing program service collaborations with other agencies.

 

 Qualifications        

A Master's degree in Social Work or related field preferred. Must have a minimum of three years administrative and supervisory experience and experience working with multi-problem families in need of employment related family self sufficiency services. Experience working with homeless families and knowledge of workforce development strategies preferred. Must have supervisory experience and possess excellent computer skills including Excel and database utilization. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and adjust to a fast paced environment are essential for this position. Knowledge of financial literacy and income tax preparation is a plus.
