Asset Building Program Manager

 Job Description        

The Asset Building Program Manager will manage the microenterprise, financial education, financial counseling, individual development account, and tax preparation programs. He/she will be responsible for ensuring that these programs meet all performance goals per funder and contract requirements, are responsive to client needs, and operate within budget and compliance parameters. He/she will also be responsible for ensuring sustainability of this program area through program development and grant writing and will directly supervise direct service staff in this program area. The Asset Building Program Manager must be committed to working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a team committed to offering high-quality, community-based programs. He/she must have sound judgment and be comfortable making decisions in a fluid environment.



•Undergraduate degree required; Master’s/graduate level education preferred. •4 plus years of program management experience within economic development and/or the social services field; •3 plus years experience supervising staff; preferably within a social services environment; •Experience managing grant-funded programs, especially federally-funded programs, strongly preferred •Experience working in a direct-service role preferred. •Previous multi-cultural experience and demonstrated ability to communicate well with people of varied backgrounds strongly preferred; •Competency in Microsoft Office required; additional technical skills an asset; •Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to make presentations required; •Track record of successful grant writing strongly preferred; •Budget management skills strongly preferred; •Experience working within databases, including reporting, strongly preferred. •Proficiency in a refugee language an asset.
