Chief Financial Officer

 Job Description        

Reporting to the President/CEO, responsible for the overall financial management of the organization, including: grant compliance, accounts payable and receivable, purchasing, payroll, banking, internal controls, budgeting/forecasting, cost allocation, audit and general accounting. To ensure the accurate and timely completion of all financial statements, reports and statutory filings, including: State and Federal 990 returns, grant expenditure reports, grant budgets and budget modifications, grant funding/reimbursement requests, and audits. The CFO will continue to build and manage effective and streamlined administrative/financial systems, including financial, accounting, insurance, information technology (IT), human resources (HR). As a member of the senior management team, the CFO will be involved in strategic planning, evaluation, and implementation of expansion to multiple new sites in the city.



- Bachelor’s degree (MA/MBA preferred) in Business, Accounting, or Finance - Minimum of 10 years’ of broad finance experience, including managing the financial function (accounting, budgeting, control, reporting and audit), including supervision of staff, and interactions with Board-level committees Skills - Demonstrated experience in financial management and accounting, ideally in the nonprofit sector - Ability to analyze, draft and present complex financial information to a diverse audience, including the President/CEO and Board of Directors - Outstanding organizational skills and high attention to detail - Effectively communicate at all levels in the organization, with strong oral and written skills and a willingness to share information - Possess a strong professional presence; ability to interact and built rapport with Board members and financial partners
