Position Description Supervise and track day-to-day accounting processes. Develop and implement accounting processes for collecting, analyzing, and verifying financial information. RESPONSIBILITIES Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job. Assist with Month-End and Year-End Close processes, including but not limited to the preparation and review of detailed journal entries, including payroll and employee benefits transactions, and preparation and review of monthly account reconciliations Maintains accounting controls by establishing, revising, and maintaining a chart of accounts in alignment with agency needs Oversee cash management including reconciliations of cash accounts Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement preparation, presentation, and analysis. Prepare ad hoc reports as requested Assist the Controller with implementation of new ERP system including process design, data migration, testing, and training Assist and support staff as needed, act as mentor to junior level accounting staff Design, develop, and review complex cost allocations and reconciliations Assist in annual financial statement audit including preparation of work-papers and documentation Identify potential issues and recommend reasonable solutions Perform advanced numerical data analysis Prepare various organizational filings for local, state, and federal agencies within required time-lines Assist in determining system improvement by developing and implementing business flow processes as needed Complete special projects as assigned by the Controller and/or CFO Salary range: $70,000-$80,000/year



Education/Experience Requirements *Highly experienced Senior Accountants with leadership experience will be considered* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance 3 to 5 years of progressively responsible accounting experience, preferably in non profit organization Public accounting experience preferred Management/Supervisory experience preferred Working knowledge of GAAP accounting principles, standards, regulations, laws, and practices Advanced computer skills including MS Windows based operating systems Excellent oral and written communication skills Able to multi-task and prioritize, critical thinking skills
