Human Resources Manager

 Job Description        

The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for the cultural success of the organization. Responsibilities will include a full range of Human Resources tasks, as well as managing employee relations, taking ownership of cultural improvements, and providing expert counsel to the CEO and COO on employee matters and legal compliance. The ideal candidate is very strong in employee relations, performance management, leadership coaching and counseling, and is able to facilitate organizational change initiatives and implement innovative improvements and ideas. This is a new position for Chicano Federation, so a self-starting individual is a must! We are looking for someone that can independently assess needs and create solutions.



Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field required • Master’s degree preferred • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Human Resources Management with duties including employee relations, employment law, recruiting, managing the employee life cycle, training, safety, workers comp and benefits administration • Bi lingual Spanish/English required • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, payroll systems, and fluent with working with different online systems for benefits • Ability to perform work accurately, thoroughly, and meet deadlines • Strong employee relations skills and conflict resolution • PHR, SPHR, or SHRM certification desired • Candidate for this position must have knowledge of the applicable laws and regulations impacting employment law, labor regulations, OSHA, ERISA and California State specific employment laws • Commitment to company values and ethics
