Youth Emergency Shelter Program Manager

 Job Description        

Accountable to Director of Services. Responsible for the development and maintenance of quality youth services, including overall supervision of the contracted components. Must participate in Division Development Team (DDT); develop resources that are in line with community needs; and maintain and evaluate quality services that are in contract compliance with funding sources. Expected to supervise 5 to 8 direct line staff and may carry a minimum caseload or provide direct service when needed.



Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Public Administration or related field required. 1 – 3 years of program management required. Experience in counseling youth and families, providing assessment, crisis intervention and education. Must possess working knowledge of Dual Dx or experience working in Dual Dx program preferred. Experience with supervision, training, and scheduling of staff; experience with youth and designing youth leadership systems, preferably in alcohol and/or drug treatment and/or residential settings. Must have reliable vehicle, relevant auto insurance, a clean driving record, and willing to drive vehicle for job-related tasks. Willing to go through clearance process which includes drug testing (Hire is pending the results of appropriate clearances). Experience working with low-income families. Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving abilities, supervisory skills, creativity, and public speaking preferred. Bi-lingual (Spanish-English) preferred.
