Clinical Supervisor

 Job Description        

Is responsible for managing the daily clinical activities of the Youth Development programs. Provides clinical and administrative oversight of staff, interns, and trainees within the Youth Development department. Provides oversight of assessment, individual and family therapy, crisis intervention, psychiatric evaluations, medication monitoring, rehabilitation, case management services, utilization management and quality assurance. Oversees, coordinates, develops and evaluates the programs’ overall effectiveness to ensure consistency with the agency’s purpose, approach, policies and procedures, contractual requirements and overall adherence to San Diego’s System of Care Principles, utilizing evidenced based practices and a trauma informed approach as the preferred teaching modalities. Ensures that legal and ethical standards of the California Board of Behavioral Sciences and the core values and mission of North County Lifeline are upheld.

 

 Qualifications        

MA degree in social work, counseling or psychology. Required state-licensed LCSW, LMFT and completion of required Clinical Supervision Certification per BBS. A minimum of two years post-graduate experience is required with a strong background in training, direct services and management. Must possess the ability to make sound clinical decisions independently. Must be able to apply clinical judgment, ethics and accountability to formulate best practices in quality of care. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledgeable of child development issues, at-risk youth issues and evidenced based practices. Must demonstrate interpersonal sensitivity and work with a diverse population. Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships. Compatibility with agency purpose, goals, philosophy and approach. Hire is contingent upon passing pre-employment clearances, including criminal background checks, TB and Drug test. California driver license.
