 Job Description        

Accountable to Director of Services. Responsible for managing “Our Safe Place” Mental Health Clinic and Drop In Center program, including staff and partnering agencies/sub-recipients; and maintaining the clinical integrity of program including oversight of the adherence to the Assertive Outreach approach and the use of EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, and Seeking Safety techniques. Ensure staff remains well-trained and that clinical services are aligned with staff ability and expertise. Ensure overall program is adherent to the San Diego County Behavioral Health Services’ Medi-Cal requirements.

 

 Qualifications        

: Licensed Psychologist, LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC by the state of California with a minimum of three years of job-related experience post Master’s degree working with children and adolescents and minimum 1 year experience working with LGBTQ youth and young adults. Experience in counseling youth and families providing assessment, crisis intervention and education required. Have an understanding and value the Youth and Family Partnership models. Need to have completed training in EMDR, MI, and Seeking Safety or be willing to be trained. Knowledge of case coordination and collaboration with multiple agencies and public entities is a must. Familiarity with the Children, Youth and Family Health System of Care requirements. Demonstrated leadership and problem solving abilities, creativity, and public speaking preferred. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.. Must be able to see the big picture and pay close attention to detail.
