 Job Description        

Responsible for the day-to-day management and oversight of human resources: compensation & benefits; employee training and morale programming; employee talent and performance management platforms. Develops organizational strategies by identifying and researching human resources issues; contributing information, analysis and recommendations to organizational strategic thinking and direction; establishing human resources objectives in line with organizational goals. Guides and manages the provision of Human Resources services, policies and programs company-wide; leading human resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce. Because this is a one-person department, this is also a very hands-on position.



Bachelor’s degree is preferred with a minimum of five years’ experience managing and overseeing human resources and operations departments, with increasing responsibility and ideally in a nonprofit setting. A Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification or similar industry-recognized certification preferred. Administrator-level working knowledge of the ADP TotalSource HRIS platform preferred. Management-level experience with comp and benefits, employee relations, employee morale programs, recruiting and hiring preferred. Strong knowledge of State and Federal employment laws and regulations including wage and hour laws required. Superior organizational skills and strict attention to detail a must. Demonstrated ability to proactively manage multiple tasks effectively. Exceptional relationship management skills, as well as verbal/written communication skills. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
