 Job Description        

SUMMARY Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) the Director of Human Resources serves as a key leadership team member and an active participant in making strategic decisions affecting the San Diego Center for Children. The successful candidate will help forge new relationships to build the Centerís visibility, impact, and financial resources. In partnership with the CEO, this position is responsible for all activities in the human resources department. The Director is strategic in the management of all human resources employee programs and policies related to all phases of personnel activity. Responsibility for accreditation in Joint Commission human resources standards at all times. Ensuring the Center is abiding by all Federal and State employment and wage laws, HIPAA, FERPA and all licensing regulations and Center contracts. Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with state, county, school district officials, universities, vendors, donors, clients, and employees. F



MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Candidate must have a proven record of strong human resources management results and a thorough understanding of the development process and methodology: ● Ten or more years of management experience in human resources with progressive responsibilities and demonstrated success at organizations of 100 to 400 employees. ● BA/BS degree required. Flexible and adaptable style; a leader who can positively impact both strategic and tactical initiatives ● Ability to construct, articulate, and implement annual strategic human resources plan ● Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and coordinate activities that move individuals, corporations, and foundations to give to the Center ● Excellent organizational skills, oral/written communications skills and interpersonal skills ● Strong leadership and managerial skills and ability ● Ability to work both independently and in coordination with professional colleagues ● Demonstrated ability to make complex decisions on personnel and
